Becoming a parent and going through that life transition can feel overwhelming and stressful. You might be asking yourself what is “normal”. I would love to support you in this phase of life as you talk through your concerns, anxieties, excitements, etc. All feelings are welcome.
Some of your concerns might include:
- Navigating the transition
- Processing your new role as a parent
- Isolation from others
- Grieving the change in your identity
- Anxieties around your child being ok
- Anxieties around if you’re a good enough parent
- General anxieties
- Postpartum depression (PDD is depression that comes after the birth of a child; both women and men can experience it)
- Change in the relationship with your partner
- Processing any birth trauma
- Self esteem issues due to changes in your body
- Information or social media overload (a variety of opinions on how to parent)
- Navigating other people’s comments on how they think you “should” parent
- Frustrations with breastfeeding
- Difficulty navigating the healthcare system or resources
My hope is that through my support, you gain more confidence in your abilities, feel less burdened with your thoughts and feelings, and are able to trust in your decisions making.
Please reach out if you can use the support. I’m a phone call or email away.
